Jessica Ellen Cornish is an English artist and songwriter, who goes by the stage name Jessie J. The singer is well-known for her distinctive music style, that mixes soul, pop, electropop and hip-hop, Jessie garnered much fame in her early years. In addition, she has won several nominations and awards like the 2011 'Critics' Choice Brit Award', and "BBC's Sound of 2011.' Her career began at the young age of 11 when she was featured in 'Whistle Down the Wind,' an original musical composed created by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. In the following years, she was part of the 'National Youth Music Theatre' and appeared in the production by the theater "The Late Sleepers," which was first performed in 2002. Her fame was boosted in 2011, with her debut album 'Who You Are,' which came out on February 28. It immediately became a hit. Within the first few days, 105,000 copies were sold in the UK as well as 34,000 in the US.
