LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30th, 1984) was the name of an American pro basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). James is popularly referred to as King James and is considered to be among the greatest basketball players of all time. James has been awarded four NBA championships as well as four NBA MVP prizes, four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James is the player with the highest points during the playoffs, the second-highest number in career scoring and has the 7th highest number of assists in his career. James is a member of 18 NBA All-Stars, 18 All-NBA Teams and five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. 10 NBA Finals, the most ever by any player. He was a part of eight consecutively from 2011 to 2018. James has been selected to an appearance on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. In 2022, he was one of the few NBA player to score 10,000 career points. James was a basketball player for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron Ohio and was heavily in the news media as a potential NBA star. He was a prep-to pro and selected first from the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft of 2003. He was named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year He quickly established himself as one of the league's premier players, winning his NBA MVP award in both 2009 and 2010. In the end, he failed to capture any championships with Cleveland James left in 2010 as a free agent in order to join the Miami Heat this was announced in the television special The Decision and is among the most controversial free agent decisions throughout sports history.
