Robyn Rihanna Fenty, also known as Rihanna is an Barbadian singer-songwriter who gave us hits like Pon de Replay SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. As a young, successful singer-songwriter she is already one of history's best selling artists. Barbados born, she was a fan of reggae when she got older and started singing herself when she was an teen. Her discontent was caused by the chaos within her home and the constant disagreements among her parents. She decided to get involved in music. While still in highschool she joined a musical group, and was asked to perform to be a part of Evan Rodgers. The producer was extremely impressed by the talent of this teenager. To earn money as a professional singer she was asked to move into New York. Rihanna dropped her debut album, and was an overnight star. People of all ages were attracted by her catchy songs that had them tapping their feet, and this brought her into the film industry. A talented young woman Rihanna has been recognized as an aspiring teenage star. Rihanna put her celebrity to positive use as she is actively involved in several charity causes.
